Dinsmore Homestead’s Civil War Days this weekend, features storytelling, demonstrations and more


Come visit the Dinsmore Homestead Saturday and Sunday, July 13th & 14th for Civil War Days.

On Saturday there will be reenactors from the 6th Ohio Volunteers to demonstrate camp life, drilling, and firing practice, Civil War surgeons, and hearth cooking.

Tom Schiffer, from the Boone County Historical Society, will talk on the Confederate invasion of Northern Kentucky on Sunday at 1:30.

Sunday will also highlight storytelling from that era.

Throughout the weekend the tours of the Dinsmore home will focus on life during those four years of turmoil.

Hours are Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 12-5.

Admittance: $7 for adults, $3 for children from 5 to 17.
