Over the last several years Dayton, Kentucky has been in the process of renewal. Established in 1867, Dayton, KY is a Campbell County river community with a rich history. It is in close proximity to downtown Cincinnati and other Northern Kentucky municipalities, making it a desirable location to live, run a business, and raise a family. In order to further the ongoing improvement efforts, in January 2019, the Northern Kentucky Drug Strike Force (NKDSF) initiated a long term investigation of those hindering the progressive improvements in Dayton and the surrounding communities.

During the course of the investigation, NKDSF seized various dangerous drugs and identified local drug distributors and their sources of supply.  Campbell County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office presented the investigation to the grand jury and obtained felony indictments on 14 identified offenders.

Seven search warrants were obtained and these, along with the warrants on indictment were executed with the assistance of Officers, Deputies, and Agents from the following law enforcement agencies:

Dayton Police Department; Ft. Thomas Police Department; Drug Enforcement Administration:

Newport Police Department; Covington Police Department; Cincinnati Police Department;

Kentucky Probation and Parole; Campbell County Police Department;

Campbell County Sheriff’s Department

This investigation is ongoing as some of the individuals indicted remain at large. To date, twenty subjects have been arrested, charged on State of Kentucky charges. Additional state or federal charges are possible.
