The new Florence Menards Mega Store, located at 5000 Apex Lane (North of US Highway 42, off of Mall Road) will open for business on Tuesday, June 18.

With the opening of this new store, Florence and the surrounding communities will have the opportunity to experience all of the shopping conveniences that Menards has to offer.

“We are all really excited about the new store,” says Dave Jacobsen Florence Menards General Manager. “We appreciate all of the community support we’ve received and can’t wait to open the doors on Tuesday and show everyone what we’ve been working on.”

Menards is well-known for its complete selection of high-quality, name brand merchandise and state-of-the-art computers to help customers design their special projects.

Menards carries tools, materials and supplies for home improvement projects from just needing a light bulb, gallon of paint or household items to building a deck, fence or new home.

The Florence Menards will also carry name brand appliances, pet & wildlife products, lawn and garden supplies and even a line of groceries as a one-stop shopping experience.

With home improvement at the forefront of today’s do-it-yourself market, Menards provides a valuable resource for the entire community. Menards creates employment opportunities and economic growth while fulfilling the various home improvement needs of local homeowners, tenants and business owners.

The 170,000-square-foot building completes the Florence Heights Development Project which is also anchored by Costco, Dave and Busters, Chick-fil-A and Outback Steakhouse.

Menards and Costco were announced as the original anchors of the development in March, 2014, following the sale of the last undeveloped parcel of land on Mall Road, commonly referred to as the Berkshire Farm.

Costco opened in November 2015, but the Menards project was put on hold until  ground was finally broken on the store in June of 2018.

A family-owned company started in 1958, Menards currently operates 321 stores located throughout the Midwest.

Menards is known throughout the home improvement industry for its easy-to-remember slogan – “SAVE BIG MONEY.” Florence Menards .

Store hours at the Florence Menards will be Mon-Sat, 6:30 a.m. – 10 p.m., and Sunday 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
