With a resume that spans more than 20 years, Rittinger has experience in the development, creation, and launch of on-target solutions aligned with organizational, marketing, and sales objectives.

Her strengths include coaching, mentoring, and change management; leading and managing cross-functional teams; and driving initiatives and projects, large or small, from concept to completion with collaborative success.

Rittinger most recently served as Assistant Vice President for Marketing and Communications at Northern Kentucky University (NKU), where she managed the cross-functional teams charged with developing campus-wide marketing.

An NKU graduate herself, Rittinger earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism before taking positions as account executive at RGI Design, Inc., followed by director of corporate communications and marketing at General Cable.

Rittinger is a lifelong Northern Kentuckian who brings a unified regional perspective to her new role at REDI Cincinnati.

“I was born and raised in this region, and I will always choose to live here because it truly has so much to offer,” says Rittinger, who for many years coached her sons’ soccer teams. “The things that are important to me personally — being part of a team, working together toward common goals, taking care of each other. Those things are important in my professional life, too.”

Rittinger will be responsible for leading REDI Cincinnati’s marketing initiatives relating to business recruitment, development, and retention in the Greater Cincinnati region. Rittinger will also shape strategic communications and help in delivering REDI Cincinnati’s message throughout the region.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Gina to the REDI Cincinnati team,” said Kimm Lauterbach, REDI Cincinnati President and CEO. “Gina is a proven leader with the experience we need to build on our success in growing the region. I look forward to relying on her expertise as we enter an exciting time for Greater Cincinnati.”

Rittinger’s leadership style is reflected in her personal commitments.

For more than a decade, she has served as co-chair of “Trail Ride for the Cure” non-profit events benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure, where she develops promotional materials and oversees public relations, planning, and fundraising efforts. She also serves on the board for the Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky. Rittinger lives in Grant’s Lick, Kentucky, with her husband and two sons.

The Regional Economic Development Initiative (REDI) Cincinnati is the first point-of-contact for companies locating or growing in the 15-county region at the heart of Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Southeast Indiana.
