Whalen

The Florence City Council includes Mayor Diane Whalen, Vice Mayor Dr. Julie Metzger Aubuchon and council members Mel Carroll, Duane Froelicher, Kelly Huff, David A. Osborne and Gary Winn.

Whalen has provided this assessment of the City of Florence and the 2nd Quarter Development Report:

The City of Florence continues to be one of Kentucky’s fastest growing communities.

With many transformational projects underway, city council and staff continue to meet and exceed the expectations of our residents and business community. Much of our success is because of our ability to foster public-private relationships throughout the business community. City officials have worked closely with all stakeholders to implement projects that created opportunities and further advanced our vision.

Our economic development strategy continues to focus its efforts on building stronger existing business relationships and working with the start-up, entrepreneurial community to ensure Florence is one of the region’s most sought-after communities in which to grow a business.

This 2019 2nd Quarter Development Report highlights several of our transformational economic development achievements. I remain focused on maintaining our position as one of the state’s most attractive communities to live, work, and play. Knowing that today’s marketplace is as competitive as it has ever been, we will continue to demonstrate that the best business opportunities in the Greater Cincinnati region are right here in Florence.
