Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber launches Influence Cincinnati for experienced and emerging leaders

The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber is launching Influence Cincinnati, an initiative designed to identify ways that participants can harness the influence they already have – in their jobs, communities, and spheres of influence – to create a future region people want to call home.

Influence Cincinnati invites experienced and emerging leaders across the region and all Chamber members interested in shaping civic decisions and conversations to participate.

Influence Cincinnati members will meet throughout the year in various locations across the Greater Cincinnati area to have candid conversations about civic engagement, advocacy, public policy and politics with experts and key decision-makers. The first meeting will happen on Tuesday, June 18, from 3-4:30 p.m. at the University of Cincinnati’s 1819 Innovation Hub.

“Influence Cincinnati provides an opportunity for Chamber members of all backgrounds who share a passion for moving our region forward to engage with our work,” said Katie Eagan, vice president of Government Affairs for the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. “We hope this group will inspire members to better understand and use their influence to positively impact our region.”

“We want our members to become deeply involved in the work we are doing to better our region,” said Jill P. Meyer, president and CEO of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. “Influence Cincinnati invites them to engage and influence the decisions that shape our community.”

Influence Cincinnati’s main objectives are to:

Engage – Participants will have topical, interactive conversations with business and community leaders and develop a deeper understanding of how civic engagement, advocacy, public policy, and politics affect our region and community.

Envision – Participants will determine meaningful ways to immerse themselves in the community based on business and personal perspectives.

Impact – Participants will change the conversation within their spheres of influence. They will connect with other business and community leaders, elected officials and policy makers.
