TMU student Jared Isaiah Nelson is first Graydon GROW NKY intern with Chamber workforce center


Thomas More University marketing student Jared Isaiah Nelson is the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce (NKY Chamber), launching the Graydon GROW NKY Internship Program.

Nelson will serve in spring 2019.
 
The Graydon GROW NKY Internship program provides a unique experiential learning opportunity for underrepresented students who are currently enrolled at a Northern Kentucky college or university.

Each intern will be a fully engaged team member at the law firm, Graydon, and the GROW NKY Workforce Center at the NKY Chamber of Commerce, gaining practical work experience in both the legal and non-profit industries.

Nelson, the program’s first hire, studies sports and entertainment marketing at Thomas More University where he also served as captain of the soccer team.

Our partnership with Graydon in creating this program has been critical. Their sponsorship provides the opportunity to implement best practices into this paid internship program.”
 
Graydon GROW NKY interns will commit to working 20 hours per week for 15 weeks and will be paid $12 per hour. The internship is also located on the TANK bus line, providing access to public transportation if needed.   
 
“I’m excited about this internship opportunity and getting involved with Graydon GROW NKY,” said Nelson. “I’m looking forward to understanding the fundamentals of business, sponsorship, and promotion through networking and doing what I can to add value to the NKY Chamber and Graydon.”
