Horizon Community Funds releases first annual report — and grows assets by nearly $20 million

Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky released its first annual report, which highlights progress from the organization’s first full year of operation in 2018, including contributions and assets under management.

Notably, the organization gained nearly $20 million in assets under management by the end of 2018 — in just a year and a half since its launch in August 2017.

Additionally, the organization grew its contributions by 62 percent and granted more than $2 million to nonprofits in 2018.

“We are thrilled to share our 2018 successes with the community,” reflects Horizon Community Funds President Nancy Grayson. “When we, as Northern Kentuckians, focus on work that will accelerate change, innovate strategies, and leverage resources and partnerships, we maximize the impact we have in our Northern Kentucky communities.”

Highlights from the report include an update on assets under management, which shows the grantmaking public charity ahead of schedule on its five-year goal for reaching $50 million in assets under management.

“Northern Kentucky is truly a generous community,” adds Grayson. “Our hope is that this first year’s report will spark engagement from even more community members and donors. This is community-led philanthropy, by and for Northern Kentucky.”
