Northern Kentucky University celebrates Homecoming 2019 “Carry the Torch: Once a Norse, Always a Norse.”
Homecoming kicks off today with Service on Saturday followed by a week full of activities.
“The Carry the Touch theme is a reminder that the connections our students have here at NKU continue throughout their lives. They make friends, create memories and chose a career path, and this experience stays with them. As we move beyond the 50th Anniversary celebrations, it seemed fitting to remind our community that NKU is home, and you’re always a part of our Norse family,” said Dan Nadler, vice president for Student Affairs.

Homecoming week highlights include the “Light the Way” Window Painting Contest at the Votruba Student Union, Dr. Lacretia “Cre” Dye as the Black History Month Speaker on Feb. 5 and the 2019 Alumni Awards Celebration on Friday, Feb. 8.
The annual event celebrates the 2019 Outstanding Alumni Awards recipients Thomas J. Munninghoff, Diane H. Sticklen-Jordan, Barry G. Kienzle, Brady Jolly, and Arnie D. Slaughter.
Next Saturday begins with the Homecoming Tailgate and the Northern Taste Alumni event before the men’s basketball game against Oakland. NKU’s Campus Royalty will be recognized at halftime. For more information and the full slate of Homecoming events, visit here.
