The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels (HOKC) is calling for established non-profit charities to apply for a 2019 grant from the Good Works Program until February 15.

501(c)(3) non-profit organizations that have been in existence for 5 years and who help the citizens of Kentucky are eligible to apply. Grant application guidelines and other criteria are posted on www.kycolonels.org.

Through donations from Kentucky Colonels around the world, in 2018, HOKC awarded grants totaling $2-million to support 233 charities assisting the neediest of the Commonwealth.

“We are proud that donations range from $1 to major gifts supporting our focus on aiding the abused to the handicapped to crisis relief to historic preservation,” says HOKC Executive Director Sherry Crose.

To date, HOKC grants have touched more than 7,000 other non-profit organizations.

Among the local organizations receiving grants in 2018 were the Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky, the Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky, Be Concerned and the Henry Hosea House.

HOKC is a non-partisan 501(c)(3) supporting Kentucky charities and worthy organizations through its Good Works Program. Donations are given by Colonels appointed by the Governor, who chose to exercise this honor in a meaningful way.
