Fort Wright residents can recycle Christmas Tree starting Tuesday at City Hall drop-off lot

The holiday season isn’t over just yet, but the end of the season is looming and Fort Wright residents have an option for recycling their Christmas trees.

In preparation of the momentous task of un-decorating, Fort Wright residents can recycle their Christmas tree instead of just putting it out in the trash.

Christmas Tree Recycling is easy to do. Simply remove all ornaments, tinsel, lights, and any other artificial decorations and drop your “live” tree at the designated drop zone at City Hall, 409 Kyles Lane, Fort Wright.

Look for the tree-corral in the vicinity of the Guardian Angel Garden found on the northeast side of the city building.

Christmas Tree Drop-Off will begin on Tuesday, January 1st, 2019 and end Monday, January 14th, 2019.

Once the collection time has passed the Kenton County Public Works Department will turn the trees into mulch that will be used at a future date.

Christmas Tree Recycling is offered “Free of Charge” to anyone wishing to drop off their live tree. For more information please do not hesitate to contact us at 859.331.1700 or via email at info@fortwright.com
