Cincinnati Museum Center adds kid-friendly, heathy dining option, Bean Sprouts, at Children’s Museum

The Bean Sprouts café opens today at Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC), a new kid-friendly, healthy dining option. Bean Sprouts, a nationally-recognized concept where kids and families participate in a playful eating experience, is located just outside the Duke Energy Children’s Museum.

Bean Sprouts features good and good-for-you dining options, helping to fuel healthy bodies as children and families build healthy minds. The café features an award-winning menu that empowers kids to make their own healthy choices. The menu includes whimsical foods prepared into fun shapes like Grilledzilla (grilled cheese cut into a monster face) and Do-Re-For-Me (sunflower butter and organic jam cut and styled into the shape of piano keys). Sophisticated sandwich, soup and pizza options will delight both children and adults. Bean Sprouts also offers yummy treats like organic ice cream and frozen fruit bars as well as hot and cold drinks.

“We are so pleased to partner with Bean Sprouts to offer fun, delicious, healthy dining options for our youngest guests,” says Eliza Pierce, president and CEO of Cincinnati Museum Center. “Bean Sprouts will empower our youngest guests to be more mindful about what they eat, pairing healthy bodies with healthy minds.”

Bean Sprouts co-founders Shannon “Peacasso” Seip and Kelly “Pea Brain” Parthen have shared their playful and innovative approach at the White House and at museums, zoos and aquariums across the country. They believe in sparking children’s appetites for yummy, good-for-you food and delighting parents with a happier mealtime. T

he café’s location next to the Duke Energy Children’s Museum means children and families can take a break from learning through play, refuel with delicious, healthy food and get right back into the museum.

“We intentionally partner with family destinations that fit with our ‘HIPP’ core values – health, innovation, positivity and playfulness,” said Parthen. “Cincinnati Museum Center couldn’t be a better match, and it is the perfect place to plant a Bean Sprouts.”

Bean Sprouts offers a variety of choices for families with picky eaters, allergies and other dietary challenges. The café adheres to strict ingredient guidelines and features sustainable foods, compostable packaging and eco-friendly design.
