St. Vincent de Paul’s Turkeyfoot Trot coming up on Nov. 17 at Thomas More University; sign up here

St. Vincent de Paul in Northern Kentucky will be hosting the 11th annual Turkeyfoot Trot 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, November 17th at 9 a.m. beginning and ending at a new location, Thomas More University.

“Thomas More jumped at the chance to be a part of this tradition. St. Vincent serves and engages the community constantly, and our similar mission and ideals make this an exciting partnership,” remarked Charles Delp, Director of Student Engagement and Leadership Development at TMU.

“As a runner myself, I look forward to this event every year.  And, partnering with Thomas More adds to our excitement for this year’s race,” said Karen Zengel, Executive Director, St. Vincent de Paul. “Our goal this year is to grow the number of participants. We invite everyone to come out and run or walk.  It’s a fun and different way for the entire family to kick off the holiday season by supporting those in need.”

The race is presented by Commonwealth Bank & Trust Company. “Commonwealth Bank & Trust is very excited to be the presenting sponsor for this year’s event. We’re a proud partner of St. Vincent de Paul and for many years this great organization has been improving the lives of many deserving individuals and families throughout the Northern Kentucky area,” said Corey Sidebottom, Senior VP Northern Kentucky Market.

Event sponsors include St. Elizabeth Physicians, Pat and Dennis Coyne, Marty and Sheila Zalla, Meijer, 1st Call Disaster Services, and Tri-State Running Company.

All proceeds support St. Vincent de Paul programs in Northern Kentucky that bring hope to the front line of poverty by helping our neighbors in need with food, rental/utility assistance, and other emergency assistance.
