Nick Clooney to host Cincinnati Jazz Hall of Fame fundraiser featuring acclaimed vocalist Mandy Gaines

If you love jazz you won’t want to miss the upcoming fundraiser for the Cincinnati Jazz Hall of Fame on Wednesday, November 14.

Northern Kentucky’s Nick Clooney will host the fundraiser and featured entertainment will include local jazz vocalist and internationally recognized, Mandy Gaines. She will be performing with Lee Stolar (piano), Lou Lausche (Bass) and Carmon DeLeone (Drums) –– and the Jazz At Dusk Trio will also perform.

Clooney also hosts the yearly Induction Ceremony; and one of the first inductees was his sister, Rosemary.

A silent auction will include many special items of local jazz memorabilia, and there will be a chance to bid on a couple of bottles of Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon.

All monies raised will benefit the 2019 Spring Induction Ceremony.

The Greater Cincinnati/NKy Jazz Community recently lost internationally recognized drummer, John Von Ohlen. John lived in Northern Kentucky for many years. He was a member of the Cincinnati Jazz Hall of Fame Board, and a Hall of Fame Inductee. If you ever heard the amazing music from the Blue Wisp Band, then you heard the very talented, John von Ohlen. Come out and support an organization that was very dear to his heart.

The Cincinnati Jazz Hall of Fame holds a yearly Induction Ceremony, provides Master Classes for local jazz students, and creates opportunities for young jazz musicians like the Jazz At Dusk Trio to participate in live performances at local venues.
