Newport History Museum will host exhibit of photos by students at Newport High School tonight


The Newport History Museum @ The Southgate Street School will hold a photo exhibit by students of Newport High School tonight at 6 – 8 p.m.

“Celebrating Artistic Expression – The Beauty of the East Row Expressed Through Photography.” It featured student photos taken in Newport’s Historic East Row District.

The contest winners will be announced at this event, said Scott Clark, Newport Historic Preservation Officer and executive director of the History Museum.

The display will also be part of the East Row Victorian Christmas Home Tour – “Points of Interest” sites Saturday and Sunday, December 1st and 2nd from Noon-6 p.m.

Light refreshments will be provided.

This event is free to attend and open to the public. The Museum is at 215 East Southgate Street, Newport.
