Holiday Toy Drive for Erlanger-Elsmere schools Sat. sponsored by KY Auto Services, Family Dollar

For the second year in a row, Elsmere-based Kentucky Auto Services & Towing is partnering with the Erlanger Family Dollar at the corner of Dixie Highway and McAlpin Ave. to sponsor a Holiday Toy Drive to benefit children in Erlanger and Elsmere. All toys collected will be provided to the Erlanger-Elsmere  Independent School District for distribution through school Family Resource Centers.

Last year, the drive was a huge success, and all are hopeful for a great turnout and huge outpouring of holiday spirit on Saturday.

Members of the community are welcome and encouraged to contribute to the toy drive by bringing an unwrapped gift – whether or not it is purchased at Family Dollar.

Toys will be collected from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Family Dollar at 3912 Dixie Highway, Erlanger.

“We are so grateful to Kentucky Auto Services & Towing, Family Dollar, and all who donate to this toy drive,” said Dr. Kathy Burkhardt, superintendent.

“Everyone involved in this effort will not only help many of our students have a happier holiday season, they will help show them they’re part of a community that truly cares.”

Erlanger-Elsmere Independent School District provides a nurturing environment for students in four elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, and one alternative school: Arnett, Howell, Lindeman and Miles Elementary Schools; Tichenor Middle School, Lloyd Memorial High School, and Bartlett Educational Center.

It serves a culturally diverse population of about 2,200 students who live within a five-square-mile area with a total population of approximately 20,000 people. Visit: www.erlanger.kyschools.us
