City of Union to host Breakfast with Santa at Union Fire Protection District Dec. 8

The City of Union will host the annual Breakfast with Santa event sponsored by Rainbow Child Care of Walton on Saturday, December 8. This year’s event will be held at the Union Fire Protection District, 9611 US 42 Hwy, Union, from 8:30-10:30 a.m.

The event is free and open to the public.

In the holiday spirit, attendees are asked to bring a donation of cat litter, pet toys, dry or canned dog/cat food, paper towels, peanut butter or liquid laundry detergent as a donation to the Boone County Animal Shelter. All donations will stay in Boone County. Donations are not required to attend this event.

This is a tradition dating back several years with the City of Union, where children can come to have their photos taken with Santa while enjoying pastries and hot cocoa. For adults, there will also be hot coffee available.

Additional event sponsors include Costco of Florence, A&A Lawn Care and Landscaping and the Union Fire Protection District. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available. Tickets are not required, but the city does request an RSVP on their Eventbrite page to help with an anticipated crowd count.

There will also be a crafts area for children, along with tours of the Fire Station, information about fire safety, and other special guests.

Parking for the event will be available along Sweet Harmony Drive, Cobalt Way and Symphony Court in the Harmony Subdivision, along with parking across US 42 at Stillmeadow and Brilliance Drives.

For information regarding the event, contact Melissa Hinkle, Communications and Operations Director, The City of Union, 859-384-1511 or melissah@cityofunionky.org
