Kenton County clerk reminds of voter registration deadline (Oct. 9), absentee voting, location changes


Kenton County Clerk, Gabrielle Summe, encourages all voters to check out www.GOVOTEKY.COM where they can check their registration status under “Review Your Registration” or even register to vote for the first time by clicking “Register to Vote.”

VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE
 
October 9 at 4 p.m. is the deadline for new voters to register for the Primary Election.

October 9 is also the deadline for any voter needing to make a name change or address change.  

Go to www.GOVOTEKY.com to register online or fill out a voter registration card in the Clerk’s office. 

A voter registration card can also be downloaded from either www.kentoncountykyclerk.com or the Secretary of State website. Once the card is downloaded and filled out then mailed it to the Kenton County Clerk’s office at PO Box 1109, Covington, KY  41011.

2018 ABSENTEE VOTING HOURS FOR GENERAL ELECTION
 
For those voters that who be out of the county on the General Election in-office absentee voting will be available from Friday, October 19 through Monday, November 5.
 
Absentee Voting will also be available on Saturday, November 3 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Covington office at 303 Court Street, Covington.

Voting is only in the Covington office at 303 Court Street, Room 104 in Covington.  The Kenton County Clerk’s Election office will be open on Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

LOCATION CHANGES FOR KENTON COUNTY IN 2018
 
COVINGTON #10 has moved from Epworth Church to the basement library of Hathaway Apartments at 1200 Highway Avenue, Covington.

LUDLOW #1 AND LUDLOW #2 has been moved from Knight of Columbus Hall due to flood damage.  Voting will be held in the Ludlow Senior Center which is next door.
