CVG launching Strategic Workforce Collaborative, offering first job preparation program for veterans

The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) is launching the Strategic Workforce Collaborative – a forum to bring airport employers together to share best practices and ensure a strong workforce to fill future airport jobs.

Currently, various businesses on CVG’s campus collectively employ nearly 14,000 individuals and that number is expected to increase as the airport continues to grow its passenger and cargo operations, particularly with record-breaking local passenger volumes, and DHL and Amazon growing their logistics networks.

The group is meeting regularly and remains committed to working together to provide meaningful career opportunities.

For the first job preparation program, CVG is partnering with Edge4Vets and the Tristate Veterans Community Alliance on a workshop series to prepare and connect veterans to jobs that lead to careers at the airport. Edge4Vets is making its Midwest debut after partnering with LAX, Houston airports, JFK, Miami and other airports around the country.
