Calling all writers: Local Author Day Book Fair looking for participants for November 17 event

All local authors (published or self-published) are invited to participate in a book fair being held at the Main Library of Boone County Public Library (1786 Burlington Pike, Burlington) from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, November 17.

There will be a writing/publishing discussion at 1 p.m., followed by a book fair from 2-4 p.m.

Please register through this link if you are interested in participating.

The Library will provide one table and two chairs per author. Authors must bring their own books to sell and are responsible for all change and sales. The library has free WiFi if you want to use a wireless credit card reader. Authors are also responsible for bringing a tablecloth, signage and any other items they want to use.

Based on the number of applications received, the Library reserves the right to limit participation by selecting a representative sample of types of work and to determine which books are included in the fair.

Writing and publishing discussions with local authors will precede the book fair:

▪ 1 p.m.: A panel of local authors will facilitate a discussion about the writing and self-publishing process.
▪ 2 p.m.: Authors will be set up at tables. Additionally, the conference room will serve as a space for aspiring writers to give and receive feedback on their work.
