An anonymous donor has offered a $1 million challenge gift in support of the Community Impact Fund at Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky. For every two dollars contributed, the donor will match with one dollar. The match challenge will run until the end of 2018.
The Community Impact Fund is the foundation’s most flexible fund, enabling the charitable organization to support Northern Kentucky’s needs as they evolve, including needs that are not anticipated at the time a gift is made.

Horizon Community Funds’ Council of Trustees, each member deeply rooted in Northern Kentucky, oversees the distribution of these funds. The Fund uses collective giving as a way to help break the cycle of poverty, support the arts, spark development and innovation, enrich our children’s education, and improve the health and wellness of our community.

Horizon Community Funds plans to begin its first round of grant making through the Community Impact Fund in early 2019. Funds will be awarded to qualified nonprofits serving Boone, Campbell, and Kenton counties.
