BBB Center for Ethics to present 2018 Torch Awards to honor ethical businesses on Oct. 19

The northern lights are a beautiful phenomenon. Charged particles in the atmosphere combine with magnetic forces from the sun, and the result is a dazzling array of brilliance in the sky; a vivid natural light show that draws crowds of awed admirers.

That’s why the venue for this year’s Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics couldn’t be more apt.

On Oct. 19, the Northern Lights Ballroom of the Sharonville Convention Center will be home to the 2018 Torch Awards, where attendees can watch as the brightest organizations in the area get the recognition they deserve.

Hosted by BBB Center for Ethics, the Torch Awards is a program designed to engage those organizations that weave ethics into every interaction they have with the community, effectively creating a marketplace where trust is an essential thread.

The Center’s mission is to provide ethics education, direction and recognition for employers and employees of today and tomorrow, and the Torch Awards unites those initiatives – and the people who labor for them – in one pinnacle event.

This year, Torch is slated to be electrifying. Two keynote speakers will take the stage to address ethics in the Cincinnati community. Daytime radio host Brian Thomas of 55KRC and legal counsel Paulette M. Thomas of Baker Hostetler will engage and entertain with their insightful look at moving the marketplace forward.

Anyone interested in attending the 2018 Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics should mark Oct. 19 on their calendar.

Additional information on both BBB Center for Ethics and the Torch Awards is available at centerforethics.org.
