Kenton County Alliance to Prevent Substance Abuse selects winners of superhero drawings for its banner


Superheroes for the Kenton County Alliance to Prevent Substance Abuse Team have been selected from a competition for a banner promoting prevention of substance abuse.

Kenton County Alliance to Prevent Substance Abuse is a substance abuse coalition working to support drug-free lifestyles among our Kenton County youth.

The group works to reduce alcohol, tobacco and other drug use among youth.

Students were encouraged to incorporate their school mascot in the drawing the superhero figure.

This was coordinated with high school Art and P.E./Health Teachers.

Banners representing five of the high schools in Kenton County will be displayed around schools and in the community.

The following students’ entries were selected:

Lloyd High School – JaNae Williams
Holmes High School- Andrew Willoughby
Scott High School – Savannah McDonald
Notre Dame Academy – 9th grade students
Beechwood High School – Dayton Baugh
