Find one of five Golden Tickets at Witt’s End Candy Emporium and win tickets to Carnegie’s Willy Wonka

The Carnegie in Covington and Witt’s End Candy Emporium in Bellevue are inviting everyone to a world of pure imagination and fun with a scrumdidilyumptious giveaway promotion to celebrate the theatre’s production of Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka, on stage Thursdays through Sundays, Jan. 18-28.

Five golden tickets will be hidden in chocolate bars at Witt’s End Candy Emporium, located on Fairfield Avenue in Bellevue. Visitors can find the $2 chocolate bars, available for sale through January 15 or until the chocolate bars run out, in the store’s mystery box at the front counter. A candy gift certificate will also be given away – no purchase necessary. All who purchase a candy bar will also be entered to win the candy gift certificate.

The grand prize for golden ticket holders is a pair of theatre tickets to see Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka at The Carnegie and a giant box filled with Willy Wonka candy favorites (value: $100). Second prize is a pair of theatre tickets and a selection of Willy Wonka candy favorites (value: $75). For the holders of the third, fourth and fifth golden tickets, winners may select 1 pound of candy from the barrels at the candy store (value: $10/each). The winner of the gift certificate may redeem it for $5 worth of their choice of candy.

Once Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka takes the stage at The Carnegie on Jan. 18, theatre-goers may enter there to win a giant candy box filled with a selection of Willy Wonka candy favorites (value: $40).

Additionally, Witt’s End Candy will provide the concessions at The Carnegie Theatre for the full run of the show, offering a variety of candy for sale during the show’s intermission.

Based on the enchanting 1971 film starring Gene Wilder, the classic tale of Charlie and Willy Wonka’s famous chocolate factory comes to life on The Carnegie stage for the theatre’s annual family-friendly production. Cheer on Charlie as he finds his own golden ticket, sing along with the Oompa-Loompas, take a fantastical tour of the most famous candy factory of all time and hear all of your favorite tunes: “The Candyman,” “I’ve Got a Golden Ticket” and “Pure Imagination.”

The show is presented by the Otto M. Budig Family Foundation.

Tickets for the show are $30, $27 for Carnegie and ArtsPass Members, $23 for students and $18 for children under 12.

Tickets are available at The Carnegie Box Office, open 12-5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, by phone at 859-957-1940 or online at www.thecarnegie.com.
