Newport schools continues tradition of selling Christmas ornaments to support scholarsips

The Newport Independent School District Educational Foundation is selling Christmas ornaments in an effort to earn money for the Newport Scholarship Program.  100% of the profit from these sales will go to Newport High School graduates who attend post-secondary education.

This year the Foundation is selling two different ornaments depicting local history.  One ornament is a replica of the Bell Tower and Clock at the old Newport High School on East 8th Street and the second ornament outlines the Campbell County Courthouse on York Street.  Each ornament is $20 and can be purchased in any of the following ways:

– Contact Kelly Middleton’s office at 859-292-3001 or Kim Klosterman;

– Contact Tete Turner at 859-292-3034;

– Stop by the Welcome Center – 30 West 8th Street – Monday through Friday – 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.;

– Email tete.turner@newport.kyschools.us ; or  kelly.middleton@newport.kyschools.us ; or kim.klosterman@newport.kyschools.us ; to arrange a time to meet or stop by the Welcome Center.

The Foundation will be selecting two different ornaments each year to add to the collection. Begin a tradition of giving ornaments showcasing Newport sites.

Thanks to everyone for your continued support.  For additional information and pictures of the ornaments: http://www.newportwildcats.org/
