Highlands Middle School gives canned goods, cash to charities; celebrates success with Turkey Roll

Highlands Middle School had good reason to celebrate.

The students gathered up more than 22,000 can goods and raised nearly $4000 to donate to the Salvation Army and Brighton Center to make the Thanksgiving holiday happier for lots of local people.

So they celebrated their success with at a recent assembly.

How better to do it than with a pie-in-the-face competition and a Turkey Bowl.
