People in News: Brannen chairs Devou advisory committee, Guilfoyle joins KY Chamber board


Chas Brannen to Chair Devou Park Advisory

Covington attorney and former Kenton District Judge Chas Brannen recently was elected chairman of the Devou Park Advisory Committee.

Brannen is a Ft. Mitchell native.

Other committee officers include Vice-Chair Pete Nerone of Great American Financial and, as board secretary, Michelle Halloran of St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

The City of Covington recently opened the new $6 million Devou Golf Clubhouse and Event Facility, with a bar, grill and patio that are open to the public year-round.

Devou Park includes some 700 heavily wooded hilltop access, making it one of the largest urban parks in the United States.

Mark Guilfoyle appointed to state Chamber board

Mark Guilfoyle, partner of DBL Law has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. Guilfoyle will serve on the 60-member board, which represents a cross-section of key business and industry leaders from across Kentucky.

Guilfoyle is a well-recognized civic leader and professional in both the private and public sector. At DBL Law, Guilfoyle’s practice focuses on administrative, health care and employment law. He previously served as General Counsel to the Governor, Budget Director and Secretary of the Governor’s Executive Cabinet under Kentucky Gov. Brereton C. Jones.

“The Chamber is happy to have Mark join the board of Kentucky’s leading business organization,” said Chamber President and CEO Dave Adkisson. “Mark will help the Kentucky Chamber fulfill its purpose, uniting business and advancing Kentucky.”
