St.E. Honor Run Half Marathon sold out — but you can watch and enjoy the fun


The St. Elizabeth Healthcare Honor Run Half Marathon is sold out and there’s a waiting list.

It features the Half Marathon, an Honor Run 2-Person Relay, Nature Nate’s Honor Run Half Marathon 5K and Honor Run Kids One Mile.

It will be will be held on Veteran’s Day Sunday, November 13th The Honor Run Half Marathon and the Honor Run 2 Person Relay begins at 7 a.m.  The Nature Nate’s 5K Honor Run Half Marathon 5K will start at 7:1 5a.m. and the Honor Run Kids One Mile will start at 10:45 a.m.

All events start and finish under the Florence Y’All water tower at Florence Mall! Proceeds from all Honor Run Half Marathon events will benefit Honor Flight Tri-State by helping send local veterans who have served our nation in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam to Washington DC to visit their memorials.

All race participants will receive a race t-shirt, a custom finisher’s medal, and post race food and drinks.

The course for the 2016 St. Elizabeth Healthcare Honor Run Half Marathon is a rolling 13.1 mile course throughout the city of Florence and parts of unincorporated Boone County that starts and finishes under the iconic Florence Y’All water tower. 

The scenic course includes the following landmarks:
• Florence Mall

• The Mall Road Business District

• The Houston Road Business District

• Turfway Park Race Course


The course will remain open for 3 hours and 20 minutes.  Walkers and runners of all abilities are welcome but you must be able to maintain a 15:00/mile pace in all events.  Those who fall off the pace will either be picked up and taken back to the start/finish area or they will be asked to move to the sidewalk.
