Boone’s Conner campus schools offer Engagement tour to show community leaders how to get involved


Boone County Schools’ Conner cluster will host a Business Engagement Tour Tuesday April 28th from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Representatives from local businesses, colleges, organizations and governing offices will attend.

The tour will begin at 8:00 at Conner High School with light refreshments, welcome, overview of the RIDE WITH US project, a virtual tour the Conner Campus followed by a short tour of each of the 4 schools located on the Conner Campus. Those attending will receive a Business Engagement Toolkit which outlines strategies in which adults can impact a student’s success.

Business and community leaders can provide support and direction to students by providing a range of experiences from reading improvement, to career exploration and other targeted areas that demonstrate improved academic success for college and career readiness.

Test scores are show that adults in the classroom have a positive impact on students’ success. There is evidence and a growing community wide recognition that sustainable economic development rest squarely on improved educational outcomes.

The Business Engagement tour is sponsored by the Boone County Schools, the Northern Kentucky Education Council , the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, Children Inc., and the Prichard Committee.

The tour will begin on the Conner High School Campus at 3300 Cougar Path in Hebron and continue on through the Conner cluster visiting Conner Middle, Goodridge Elementary and the Boone County Area Technical School.
