U.S. Bank in Covington robbed, police seek public’s help in find the robber — picture here


Lt. Col. Justin Wietholter, assistant chief of police of the City of Covington asks the public’s help in identifying the individual pictured here, who is wanted for the robbery of the U.S. Bank at 602 Madison Avenue Monday afternoon.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., Covington Patrol Units were dispatched to a call for a robbery that had occurred at the U.S. Bank at 602 Madison Avenue in Covington.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that a man had robbed the bank but had fled the scene prior to their arrival.

Officers were able to review video footage from the area and determined that the man fled the area in a blue Honda Civic bearing Ohio license plate JEF 1085. No weapon was presented during the robbery; however, it is unclear whether the individual had a weapon on his person at the time.

A photograph of the suspect and fleeing vehicle are included here. The suspect is a male white, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes or boots. The vehicle is a blue Honda Civic with dark colored wheels.
