NKY Chamber’s Eggs ‘N Issues presents the annual State of Northern Kentucky event September 20


The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Eggs ‘N Issues: State of Northern Kentucky Tuesday, September 20.

Join the NKY Chamber from 7:30 to 9:15 a.m. at Receptions Banquet and Conference Center – South located at 1379 Donaldson Road in Erlanger as local leaders share how they are confronting challenges and collaborating to improve the future of the NKY Metro region.

Scheduled panelists include:

• Judge/Executive Kris Knochelmann (Kenton County) is a lifelong resident of Kenton County and an advocate for government efficiency and effectiveness, regional and county cooperation and accountability. From leading the effort to reform the CVG International Airport Board to improving Northern Kentucky’s economic development organization, he has actively worked to improve the performance of the region’s organizations supporting private enterprise, entrepreneurship and job creation. In addition to his responsibilities as the Judge/Executive, Knochelmann serves on numerous boards, including those for the Northern Kentucky Area Development District, Northern Kentucky Tri-Ed, NKY Chamber, past president of the OKI Regional Council of Governments, St. Elizabeth Board of Trustees, the Horizon Council of Trustees and Blue North.

• Judge/Executive Gary Moore (Boone County) was first elected in 1998. His tenure in this role parallels a distinguished career in both private business and public service, including serving as Chairman of the St. Elizabeth Healthcare Board of Trustees, First Vice President of the National Association of Counties, First Vice President of OKI Regional Board of Governments, First Vice President of Kentucky Association of Counties and the NKY Chamber board. Moore has provided vision and leadership for Boone County during a period of tremendous growth and development, and he continues to build strong partnerships with the cities, schools and agencies across the county, state and region.

• Judge/Executive Steve Pendery (Campbell County) has served in this position for more than 20 years as the Chief Executive Officer for the county and presiding over the Fiscal Court. His community service includes serving on multiple boards including the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments, the Campbell County Extension District, NKY Chamber, meetNKY and the Campbell County Conservancy. He also serves on the Executive Committee of Northern Kentucky Tri-ED and works closely with leaders of Kenton and Boone Counties to accomplish regional objectives.

“As one of our most well-attended Eggs ‘N Issues events of the year, the State of Northern Kentucky address allows NKY Chamber members to learn first-hand from our judge/executives about decisions being made that will affect all of us in the Northern Kentucky business community,” said Brent Cooper, President and CEO of the NKY Chamber. “It is also a time to commend and celebrate the collaborative work our region’s leaders are doing between the counties that make up the NKY Metro region.”

Eggs ‘N Issues: State of Northern Kentucky will begin with registration, breakfast and networking from 7:30-7:55 a.m. The keynote presentation and audience Q&A session will follow until 9:15 a.m. Registration is $30 for NKY Chamber members and $50 for future members.
