It’s ‘Giving Tuesday,’ a day of global celebration of generosity; give to the nonprofit of your choice

Today is ‘Giving Tuesday,’ a date celebrated around the world as a reminder to do something good.

Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to come together through generosity in all its forms by sharing acts of kindness and giving their voice, time, money, goods, and advocacy to support communities and causes they believe in.

This is the 10th year of the annual global celebration of generosity.

Every act of generosity counts.

An astonishing $2.47 billion was donated to U.S. nonprofits by a reported 34.8 million donors on Giving Tuesday in 2020; $1.97 billion total donations were made in 2019.

Whether your interests lie in feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, embracing the helpless, saving the animals, protecting the environment, providing healthcare, supporting your school or church or the arts, growing safe food, saving the bees, promoting literacy or democracy or civil rights or any one of thousands of good causes — you can put your money where your heart is.

You have likely heard from local nonprofits asking you to remember them on Giving Tuesday.

The time is now.

Give as generously as you can to the nonprofits that make a difference in the life of your community.
