An alternative to Black Friday: Santa Claus will be making a grand arrival at Cincinnati Museum Center

Cincinnati Museum Center is inviting those in need of holiday cheer to skip the Black Friday madness and make memories together instead. Santa makes his grand arrival at noon, Friday, November 26 – better than any deal on a Playstation, flat-screen or Furby.

While his reindeer are resting up for the big day, Santa will be arriving by historic fire truck, courtesy of the Cincinnati Fire Museum, to kick off the holidays at Cincinnati Museum Center, ready to listen to the wish lists of all the children on the nice list (and maybe a few persuasive ones on the naughty list).

All aspiring elves and sons of nutcrackers are invited to gather around Union Terminal’s historic fountain to greet Santa with cheers and waves as he makes his arrival. You’d have to be chestnuts to miss it.

To prevent crowding, Santa will not be entering the building through the front door but will take the chimney directly to his fireplace on the Public Landing adjacent to Holiday Junction featuring the Duke Energy Holiday Trains. Guests can visit Santa through December 24, when he’ll return to the North Pole for his big night.

A visit to Santa is included with museum admission. Additional admission and timed entry is required for Holiday Junction featuring the Duke Energy Holiday Trains, where the beloved holiday tradition celebrates their 75th year.

Cincinnati Museum Center is open Thursdays through Mondays with the following special holiday hours:

Friday, November 26 through Monday, November 29 – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Monday, December 20 through Monday, January 2 – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily
