Welcome House of Northern Kentucky unveils new name and logo to reflect statewide footprint

The organization formerly known as Welcome House of Northern Kentucky, Inc. has unveiled a new name and logo this week. The name has been changed to Welcome House, Inc. in an effort to showcase that the services provided are not just relegated to the Northern Kentucky Region.

“Welcome House has outgrown our humble roots of Northern Kentucky. We are not only serving Northern Kentucky, but also providing services throughout the state in Lexington, Buffalo Trace, and Lake Cumberland. We want to ensure we are being inclusive with our language and encouraging engagement and participation in these other regions as well,” explains Danielle Amrine, CEO. “We also want to plan for the possibility to expand into other regions and possibly into other states.”

For almost 40 years, Welcome House’s mission has been to provide a continuum of services that takes those served from housing uncertainty to housing stability.

Welcome House offers support to men, women, children, and families who are experiencing homelessness.

Support includes but is not limited to finding stable housing, access to services and other community programs, and employment. Today, Welcome House serves the three Northern Kentucky Counties — Boone, Kenton, and Campbell County — the Buffalo Trace ADD District and the Lake Cumberland ADD District.

“We made the decision that Welcome House needed a brand refresh, our mission and vision hasn’t changed, but the scope of who we serve and where we serve has. Welcome House isn’t what she used to be just a few years ago — she’s bigger, better, and ready for the next chapter,” says Danielle Amrine.
