TMU’s Wm. T. Robinson III’s Institute for Religious Liberty hosting its annual religious freedom event

Thomas More University’s Wm. T. Robinson III’s Institute for Religious Liberty will host an interfaith event, “A Frontline Perspective From A Lifelong Jewish Activist” on Tuesday.

It is free and open to the public.

David Harris

The annual event encourages thought and dialog for the advancement of religious freedom as an inalienable right. Now in its sixth year, the mission of the IRL is to celebrate and educate others about the constitutional privilege and the right to freely worship and practice religion.

Seating limited to 150 persons at the 7 p.m. event in Thomas More University’s Mary, Seat of Wisdom Chapel.

For those who cannot attend in person, it is possible to view it live through the Thomas More University Facebook page.

For more information see www.thomasmore.edu/religiousliberty.

David Harris, CEO of the American Jewish Committee, is the keynote speaker at the Centennial Celebration Interfaith Event. Harris, dubbed by the late Israeli President Shimon Peres as the “foreign minister of the Jewish people,” addresses interreligious relations from the Jewish perspective. Along with Harris are guest commentators Shakila Ahmad from the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati and James P. Buchanan, Ph.D., former Director of the Brueggeman Center for Dialogue at Xavier University.
