The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is hosting a public meeting on roadway improvements that are being planned along Turkeyfoot Road, between Dudley Road and Dixie Highway.
The session will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 26 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Freedom Park picnic shelter, near the Edgewood Senior Center at 500 Freedom Park Drive.
In consideration of current social distancing needs, this meeting is being held outside.
Information and materials shared will also be posted on the project website, ImprovingTurkeyfootRoad.org, after the event to allow for further public review.

Planning improvements for Turkeyfoot Road is high on KYTC’s list of projects now underway in Northern Kentucky.
The stretch of Turkeyfoot Road between Dudley Road and Dixie Highway is approximately 1.4 miles long and currently supports more that 40,000 vehicles every day.
Studies show that high traffic volumes in this small area, together with short distances between traffic signals and back-ups caused by left-turning vehicles, are the primary cause of congestion and travel delays in the area as well as higher-than-average crash rates. These problems are expected to worsen if unaddressed while the Northern Kentucky region continues to grow.
“Turkeyfoot connects people to businesses, communities, Thomas More University, St. Elizabeth Healthcare, and more. Our job is to ensure that they are able to travel through the area safely and efficiently,” said Bezold.
