BBB awards Torch Awards for Ethics, region’s only ethics-centered awards program, to five winners

The Torch Awards for Ethics is Greater Cincinnati’s only ethics-centered awards program. For 21 years, local businesses and nonprofits have demonstrated their dedication to ethics by going through a process of self-evaluation and submitting to feedback from a panel of judges.

This year, ten local organizations were recognized as finalists. Five of those have been named Torch Award winners: Biehl Brothers Contracting LLC, Honey Sweetie Acres, Rumpke Waste & Recycling, The Children’s Home, and Valley Interfaith Community Resource Center.

The Torch Award winners will be honored at the Virtual Torch Awards today. The event is virtual and will be livestreamed on BBB’s Facebook pages at noon.

Torch is a program of BBB Cincinnati, designed to encourage and promote outstanding ethical organizational practices. The Torch Award winners have earned the highest commendation from the program because of their exceptional demonstration of character, their extraordinary organizational culture and their commitment to giving back to the community.

“This year’s winners are a class of businesses and nonprofits that have earned the most prestigious honor BBB can award an organization, and we couldn’t be prouder to recognize them for it,” said Jocile Ehrich, president and CEO of BBB Cincinnati. “We’re grateful to live and work in a community that cultivates such remarkable leaders, and to celebrate the individuals that elevate our local market to the highest of standards.”
