Gov. Andy Beshear has appointed Ken Perry as a member of the Northern Kentucky University Board of Regents.

Ken Perry of Bellevue is the owner of Ken Perry Realty.

He replaces Terry Mann, whose term has expired.

Perry will serve for a term expiring June 30, 2026.

Perry has operated his real estate firm since 2002 and has been in the industry for over two decades. He has served two consecutive terms as Commissioner of the Kentucky Real Estate Commission, 2005-2013. He focuses on site development and the development of multi-tenant properties.

His office is located in Cold Spring.

“I am honored to join NKU’s Board of Regents. Northern Kentucky University is a significant asset to the region. Born and raised in Campbell County, I am looking forward to making a positive impact upon the university over the next six years,” said Perry, who is managing director and chairman of Ken Perry Realty, Inc.

NKU’s Board of Regents consists of 11 members including Chairman Lee Scheben, Vice Chairman Andrá Ward, Secretary Normand Desmarais, Faculty Regent Michael Baranowski, Staff Regent David Bauer, Regent Rich Boehne, Student Regent Lauren Goodwin, Regent Ashley Himes, Regent Dennis Repenning and Regent Gregory Shumate.

“We are pleased to welcome Ken to our ranks. Growing up in Campbell County, his insights will be valuable as we govern Northern Kentucky University,” said Chairman Scheben.

“With our Success by Design Strategic Framework, NKU is poised to become even more of a student-ready, regionally engaged university,” said NKU President Ashish Vaidya. “This is an exciting time for our university, and I look forward to working with Regent Perry.”

Perry graduated from the Naval Nuclear Power Program and was in charge of the nuclear reactor aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. After six years serving in the military, he returned to Kentucky and founded Ken Perry Realty, Inc. Perry also started an online real estate school, Perry Real Estate College, which currently serves Kentucky and Tennessee but will soon expand into South Carolina and 17 other states.
