NKU Athletics celebrates successful annual Go Norse Fund Golf Outing, raises $40,000 to student-athletes


Northern Kentucky University Athletics celebrated another successful annual Go Norse Fund Golf Outing presented by St. Elizabeth Healthcare.  

The event, held at Elk’s Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio, saw 35 teams tee off to support all 17 of NKU’s athletic programs. By the day’s end, $40,000 was raised in support of the Go Norse Fund and NKU student-athletes.

Other highlights of the day included a team composed of Drew McDonald, Cole Murray, Mike Hester and Ryne Smith (-19, 52) being crowned champions.

A hole-in-one was also recorded in the event by Steve Denier on the 12th hole.   

St. Elizabeth Healthcare was title sponsor, and other sponsors included Munninghoff, Lange & Company (beverage cart sponsor), Griffin Elite (beverage cart sponsor), Jerry Sturm (driving range sponsor), BIGGBY Coffee (breakfast sponsor), First Watch (lunch sponsor), Skyline (lunch sponsor), City Barbeque (dinner sponsor) and all of its hole sponsors.

The support assists Norse Athletics in achieving its vision of comprehensive excellence, as well as advance its student-athletes’ well-being.
