BLINK, in partnership with B&H Photo Video, will host free photo walks for the BLINK community to sharpen their street art photography skills during afternoon and evening hours as BLINK’s murals come to life.

Registration is now open for walks in Cincinnati’s Over the Rhine neighborhood, Oct. 10 & 11, and in Covington, Kentucky, Oct. 12 & 13.

“BLINK photo walks are free and open to the public,” said Sarah Hiance of B&H Photo Video. “We welcome students, amateur photographers, professional photographers, and curious humans alike, to learn more about gear and camera settings from our featured creators who are in town to share with you their expertise and highlight the beauty and wonder that is BLINK.”

BLINK photo walk participants are urged to bring their own camera, lenses, batteries, memory cards, and tri/monopods. iPhone/Android users are also welcomed to join the walk. Comfortable walking shoes, and appropriate weather-related clothing are recommended. Charging stations and bag check will not be available during the photo walks.

BLINK, illuminated by ArtsWave, is the largest light, art and culture event of its kind in the nation, October 10-13.

The event will transform the Cincinnati Region into an outdoor art phenomenon with 100 installations including large-scale projection mappings, murals and interactive light sculptures and art. The event will span 30-city blocks from Northern Kentucky’s Covington neighborhood, across the river, through Downtown Cincinnati and into Over-the-Rhine and the Findlay Market neighborhood.

Download the official BLINK app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Then use suggested self-guided walking routes, presented by UC Health, to explore BLINK’s 30 blocks of light, art and wonder. All routes end at BLINK hospitality areas, where you’ll find seating, restrooms, food, beverage, entertainment, VIP tents and more.

Artswave is offering guided walking tours, October 10-13 – on a first come first serve basis.

Five tours will focus on blink’s projection mappings and art installations. A sixth will feature the new murals being created for BLINK. For times, prices and availability, visit www.Artswave.org/tours. Proceeds will benefit more than 100 organizations and arts projects, like blink, and others that help drive overall economic vibrancy of the region.
