Northern Kentucky Chamber Women’s Initiative hosts workshop at 7 Hills Church on leading from the future

Being an effective leader is about much more than being in charge. Good leaders inspire their teams and work to create a vibrant future.

On Thursday, November 14, The Northern Kentucky Chamber Women’s Initiative, sponsored by PNC, will present Leading From the Future with Tarita Preston at 7 Hills Church (6800 Hazel Court, Florence, KY 41042) from 7:30-9 a.m. as part of its professional series.

The NKY Chamber Women’s Initiative started in 2008 and is the leading organization for women of all career stages to connect, grow and achieve for business and professional success. The Women’s Initiative offers a continuum of growth for women of all ages and stages of their careers.

Preston, a life and business coach with The Curated Coach, is passionate about helping people create their life and their business on purpose. She works with leaders, entrepreneurs, and creatives, supporting them in creating their own fulfillment. Her clients improve results, creativity, communication, and understand the value of slowing down to speed up.

The presentation, Leading From the Future, will ask attendees who would follow them if they didn’t have their title and authority.

“When leaders get accurate assessments of themselves, they can start to lead more effectively and authentically,” said Preston. “This session will focus on creating an empowering leader who leads from the future instead of for the future.”

Preston will discuss new ways of thinking, leading and being in the world, ways to inspire teams, build accountability, and create and foster trust. Attendees will assess whether they are creating the future they want instead of reliving their past.

“Tarita is a wonderful speaker with valuable insights for leaders,” said Stacy Cole lead data security and privacy partner and vice chair of Graydon’s Media and Marketing Industry Group, and chair of the Women’s Initiative Professional Series Committee. “I’m looking forward to joining in her engaging presentation and enacting some of her strategies in my life.”

Registration for the Women’s Initiative Professional Series: Leading From the Future is $35 for NKY Chamber members, $50 for future NKY Chamber members, and $25 for NKYP Passport holders. Advanced registration is required and available online here.

The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce is the leading business organization in Northern Kentucky. It is a Five-Star Accredited Chamber with nearly 1,500-member companies representing approximately 175,000 employees.
