City of Wilder to host groundbreaking for new 3-acre City Center Park behind the city building on Sunday

The City of Wilder will host a groundbreaking ceremony on Sunday, October 13th at 1 p.m. to welcome the latest addition to the city.

The City will be breaking ground for its new park located behind the city building.

The park will cover approximately 3 acres of land and will feature an expansion of the existing playground, a splash park, sport court, sand volleyball courts, a concession building equipped with bathrooms, two additional shelters with tables, grills and an event lawn area.

“I would like to invite the public to come celebrate our groundbreaking as we continue the revitalization of our City Center. When completed, the additional amenities to the Park will serve as a community gathering spot for people of all ages,” said Mayor Bob Arnold.

The ceremony will be held at the existing shelter behind the City Building. Afterward enjoy hot dogs, Kona Ice, Face Painting and Crafts for the kids.
