Online bidding now open for NKU’s Night with Norse Gala auction; check out the opportunities

Bidding is now open for Northern Kentucky University’s A Night with the Norse Gala presented by Encore Technologies. The event, which benefits NKU’s more-than-220 student-athletes, has sold out for the fourth-straight year and has approximately 100 silent auction items up for bid.

A wide variety of items are up for bid as part of the gala. A selection of events and experiences highlight the list of items, including the always popular baseball camp and clinics with softball, volleyball, men’s soccer and women’s soccer. Additionally, experiences with the NKU Cheer Squad and Norse Dance Team are up for auction.

Multiple golf outings at courses such as TPC River’s Bend, Traditions Golf Club and others are available. Ticket packages for the 2020 College Baseball World series, 2020 Quaker State 400 and Cincinnati Reds are among the sporting events, while other entertainment packages include the Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Shakespeare Co., and NKU School of the Arts.

A multitude of hotel and getaway packages join a handful of bourbon and wine bundles, as well as passes to Kings Island, Perfect North Slopes and other similar adventures.

Additional experiences include bourbon and cheese pairing, cooking with Chef Rico in NKU’s BB&T Arena and a behind-the-scenes tour of WLWT Channel 5 with NKU alumna Sheree Paolello.

New this year is a “buy-it-now” opportunity to play in a Ryder Cup style event with the NKU men’s golf team. Up to 10 individuals will join the golf team at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-In-The-Hills, Florida, site of the 2020 Horizon League Championship. Designed in a Ryder Cup format, participants will join the men’s golf team in playing 36 holes on Saturday, Feb. 1, and 18 holes on Feb. 2. Lodging, meals, a dozen TP5X NKU logo golf balls and a TaylorMade Driver of choice is included in the package. Two purchase options exist, one with travel for $2,500 per person and one without travel for $2,000 per person. Participation is limited to 10 individuals. For individuals interested in this experience, a sign-up will be available the night of the gala or by contacting Mackenzie Laumann (laumannm1@nku.edu; 859-572-7894).

To view and place bids on the wide assortment of packages, experiences, memorabilia and more, please visit the auction website.

Additional auction items will be added throughout the coming week. Bidding is open to the public and winners do not need to be present. The silent auction closes at 9:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28.
