Hickory Dickory Dock Retro Candies celebrates grand opening of new store in Dayton

Hickory Dickory Dock Retro Candies celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony officiated by Mayor Ben Baker.

The new Hickory Dickory Dock Retro Candies is located at 530 Sixth Avenue, in the Dayton Main Street District.

Hickory Dickory Dock Retro Candies is owned by Greg and Felicia Wilcher. They have built a strong following in the region, and have moved from Newport to Dayton’s Main Street District to a store three times the size of their original location.

Greg Wilcher described his plans for the new larger storefront in Dayton, “We will be able to carry more products. In the next few weeks, we will be carrying over 400 varieties of candy and 150 varieties of soda. If there’s candy from your childhood, and it’s still being made we can get it.”

Greg and Felicia Wilcher are also in the process of installing a candy kitchen where they will be able to make their chocolates and fudge.

“You’ll be able to watch the candy-making process in the store, and purchase the chocolates and fudge right off the line,” Wilcher said.

“Working with Greg and Felicia Wilcher has been great, and we look forward to having them as part of our growing business community,” said Robert Yoder, Dayton Economic Development Director.

Hickory Dickory Dock Retro Candies will be receiving rental abatement and a uniform signage grant from the City of Dayton’s Commercial Community Advantage Program.
