Still plenty of concert action on tap in the coming months at Boone County Public Library branches


The Boone County Public Library concert series will continue well into the fall.

Here is a list of upcoming performances and locations.

Concert @ the Library: 275 Brass
Sunday, September 15, 2 p.m.
Scheben Branch, 8899 US 42, Union, 859-342-BOOK (2665)
The 275 Brass quintet plays your favorite show tunes and movie themes. Selections include “The Magnificent Seven,” “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” and “María.” If you’re tired of all the drama between your favorite songs, come hear the spirited sounds of the 275 Brass.

Concert @ the Library: Skirt and Boots
Friday, September 27, 7 p.m.

An Americana, folk music group comprised of guitar, violin, bass, mandolin and harmony.

Concert @ the Library: The Vintage People Band
Sunday, October 6, 2 p.m.
Florence Branch, 7425 US 42, Florence, 859-342-BOOK (2665)
Enjoy big band music from the 30s through the 50s. This group has performed in some of the most prestigious venues in the area, including the Aronoff Center, Moonlight Gardens and Cincinnati Gardens.

Concert @ the Library: Misty Mountain String Band

Drawing from old-time music, Americana, and bluegrass, this group never strays far from their musical roots in Kentucky.

Concert @ the Library: José Luis Palacio
Sunday, October 20, 2 p.m.

Join guitarist Jose Luis Palacio for an intimate performance under the Dome as he performs a mix of classical, flamenco, and acoustic songs in several different languages.

Concert @ the Library: Wild Carrot
Friday, October 25, 7 p.m.

This Cincinnati-based, award-winning group has what it takes to please all types of folk music fans. Rooted in traditional American music, their repertoire branches in diverse directions: from original tunes to swing, blues and traditional songs.

Concert @ the Library: Full Moon Ranch
Sunday, November 10, 2 p.m.

This acoustic trio of long-time musicians is in their seventh season together. Full Moon Ranch blends instruments and voices in an upbeat selection of great Americana music!

Concert @ the Library: Amy and the Arrangement
Friday, November 15, Main Library, 7 p.m.
This band, fronted by Cincinnati music icon Amy McFarland, plays a mix of some of your favorite blues, soul, and rock ‘n’ roll songs. Everything is family-friendly and easily accessible for music fans of all ages!
