Cincinnati Police say Robert Schneider, 36, was wanted in connection with four robberies and a possible kidnapping

A man, later identified as Schneider, was pulled over in Cincinnati’s Westwood neighborhood, in the area of Werk Road and Ferguson Road, at about 11:30 a.m.

Police say Schneider was armed with a gun when he fled on foot from the Black Toyota Camry he was driving.

He was fired on by Green Township and Cheviot police and was wounded.

In a release Wednesday afternoon, Covington Police confirmed Schneider was the man involved in the incident.

Covington Police Detectives were made aware that Mr. Schneider was possibly involved in an incident with Green Township Police in Ohio earlier this afternoon.  Detectives responded to Ohio and met with police and were able to confirm the subject they had was in fact the same subject we were seeking in conjunction with our incident at Kimmy’s Korner on July 29, 2019.   No further information is available from our agency about the incident in Green Township nor Mr. Schneider’s condition.”

Schneider is believed to have robbed a Marathon gas station in Green Township Wednesday, which led to the chase that resulted in the shooting.

In addition to the incident at Kimmy’s Korner Grocery, Schneider is a suspect in three other robberies.

Video surveillance shows a suspect resembling Schneider as the man who robbed the Saks Fifth Avenue store in downtown Cincinnati, as well as Hyde Park Liquors and the Marathon station.

The description of the man who robed Kimmy’s Korner, male white, Bengals T-shirt, orange shorts, is similar to the video from the other incidents. Covington Police positively identified Schneider as the suspect in the Kimmy’s Corner robbery Tuesday.

Schneider, of Crescent Springs, is also suspected of abducting an acquaintance at Crescent Park and forcing the man to drive him to Cincinnati.

Schneider was transferred to UC Medical Center following the shooting, with unknown injures. He was reported to be in serious condition.
