Kim Banta, Republican, on ballot for 63rd District seat vacated by St. Onge; Josh Blair expected Democrat

The parties have chosen their representatives who will appear on the ballot in November for the 63rd District House seat vacated by Diane St. Onge who resigned suddenly last month.

Kim Banta

St. Onge got married and moved to California where her husband is employed.

Republicans chose Kim Banta, a Kenton County schools administrator, and a newcomer to politics. She has been serving as an Assistant Superintendent after being principal at Dixie Heights High School.

Democrats are expected to name Josh Blair who ran unsuccessfully against St. Onge in the 2018 general election. Blair is an adjunct professor in communications at Northern Kentucky University and Cincinnati Technical and Community College.

The Banta family is a good one from Kenton County, but Josh Blair is the better candidate to
replace St. Onge, who basically held the seat. Thought Blair is the better choice, for wisdom, philosophy, and understanding of issues facing Northern Kentuckians, the republicans have so gerrymandered and bastardized districts, that Ms. Banta could possibly win with a 60-40 margin. That’s the engineering by those now in the House in Frankfort. If you live in the 63rd House district, choose the candidate to best serve. Ms. Banta is a nice person, a school teacher, and stepped up. However, Josh Blair is the better choice.

I’ll vote for Kim Banta. Kim has done more for Kentuckians students and teachers. Kim also has the wisdom, understanding of issues facing Northern Kentuckians. So Josh Blair is a Professor In Communication, so that does not make him the better choice. Kim serve the people as Principal at Dixie High school. Then she went on to serve as Assistant Superintendent. Kim has wisdom and understanding of issues facing Northern Kentuckians, Kim Will Listen and will do what is best for the people.
