A man was shot and killed Saturday night in Covington, in the parking lot of the River’s Edge Apartments on Greenup Street.
The victim has been identified as Ke’Ovion Markel Seay Tevis, 18, of Covington.
Police have not identified a suspect in the shooting at this time.
Covington Police issued this statement regarding the incident:
August 3, 2019, at approximately 2203 hrs, officers were dispatched to 219 East 11th Street in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a gunshot wound victim in the southwest corner parking lot of the River’s Edge Apartments at 1028 Greenup.
The victim was transported by the Covington Fire Department to St. Elizabeth Covington Hospital and was pronounced deceased. The Kenton County Coroner was notified and responded.
The victim has been identified as Ke’Ovion Markel Seay Tevis, 18 years of age, of Covington KY. Next of kin was notified.
We are actively working on this investigation and have no further information at this time.
