Attorney General Andy Beshear has agreed to five separate televised debates with Governor Matt Bevin, spread out across Kentucky.

The debates include two events in Lexington and one each in Louisville and Paducah. Northern Kentucky University will also host a debate Oct. 29, just one week before the election.
Televised debates will include:
October 3: Televised debate with WPSD Local 6 and the Paducah Chamber of Commerce in Paducah
October 15: Televised debate with WKYT and the League of Women Voters in Lexington

October 26: Televised debate with WLKY and the League of Women Voters in Louisville
October 28: Televised Debate with KET in Lexington
October 29: Televised Debate with WLWT and Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights
There will also be a televised KET debate for lieutenant governor candidates on October 21.

Why is John Hicks, the Libertarian Party candidate for Governor of Kentucky, not invited to participate in the gubernatorial debates? Don’t the people of Kentucky deserve to hear from all of the qualified candidates who will appear on the ballot November 5, 2019?
