Florence Police arrested two men following a crash on Interstate 75 at Mt. Zion Road following a high-speed chase Wednesday evening.
One of the men is a suspect in several bank robberies, including one in Mason, Ohio, that same day.
According to a release from the Florence Police Department, officers attempted to stop a Dodge Charger Hellcat that was reported stolen from Michigan shortly before 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The same vehicle was identified as being involved in a bank robbery earlier that day.
Officers encountered the vehicle on KY18, pursued it onto I-75, and located it after it was involved in an injury crash involving another vehicle. The woman in that vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The two men in the vehicle that was reported stolen fled on foot, but were apprehended by Florence Police, with assistance from Boone County Sheriff’s deputies.
Jermaine D. Clark, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, identified as the driver of the vehicle, is a suspect in six robberies in several states, including Ohio and Michigan, since January.

Clark has outstanding warrants for charges that include robbery, bank robbery and a parole violation.
He was also charged with felony receiving stolen property, fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment, felony assault, and other traffic related offenses as a result of Wednesday’s pursuit.
The passenger in the Charger, Steven A. Smith of Zanesville, Ohio, was arrested for felony receiving stolen property, fleeing or evading police, and wanton endangerment.
The subjects were both wearing bullet-proof vests when they were caught and one of them had proceeds from the Mason bank robbery.
Following their arrests both suspects were taken to Boone County Jail.
